A small bracket designed to make setting up a BLTouch easier. The block at the end is set to the recommended 8.3mm above the flat of the arm, while the markers on the arm show 15mm (the minimum distance you should mount from heated parts) and 50mm (the maximum recommended offset). The provided hole should easily be large enough for any variant or clone to fit.

To use it, loosely mount your BLTouch (or equivalent) and place this guide on the print bed (cold!). Lower the print head (or raise the bed) carefully, making sure to line the BLTouch pin up with the hole, until the nozzle (also cold!) just touches on the arm. Adjust your mounting bracket and/or add spacers as needed.

The actual print settings you can use are fairly forgiving. Since the final relevant measurements are determined by X and Y movement, rather than Z, you can use the layer height and nozzle size of your choice without affecting functionality. It also makes it fairly forgiving of beds which aren't perfectly level, though the closer to level the better when it comes time to use it.

Since it's not load bearing it doesn't require any significant amount of walls or infill. As it's not being exposed to heat, any material is fine.

You can, if you wish, print with the arm flat against the bed. This will cause the bed levelling and layer height to come into play. However, the recommended offset is 8.3±0.2mm, so even coarse layers are likely to still be within tolerance if your bed is close to level.
