General Purpose Hook for the Prusa Mini(+)

This is a simple addon for the Prusa Mini's z-axis that allows to easily mount other addons. Checkout my filament sample holder as an example use-case.

Hints for printing

In the upper cylindrical part of the hook there is an embedded hole for an M3 hex nut. Add a break in your slicer after the hole is finished and insert the hex nut, then continue the print. This will let you secure any addon mounted to the hook with an M3 screw.

You probably need to add a bit of support to the overhanging parts of the hook.

Installing

To install the hook, put an M3 hex nut into its back and loosely insert an M3 screw. Do not tighten it yet.

Unscrew the z-extrusion, then insert the hook into the z-extrusion from the top. Viable positions are the front or left slot of th extrusion.

Tighten all of the z-extrusions screws again.

Slide the hook into the position you like and tighten the M3 screw to lock its position
