This project wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the CN3D community and partners like Polymaker & BIQU — thank you all!
The CN3D Y-CPAP Toolhead is a compact, high-performance solution designed for serious airflow and multi-material printing.
Featuring a reversed Y-duct design, an integrated filament cutter, and dual filament sensors, this toolhead is built for reliability and speed.
One thing I’m really happy with is the filament cutter — the lever design reduces the required force significantly, so cutting feels smooth and controlled.

Multi-Material READY (integrated filament cutter + dual filament sensors)
Reversed Y-CPAP airflow design for balanced, high-efficiency cooling
Ultra-compact footprint (~43 mm)
Lightweight design (~310g assembled)
Integrated RGB LED for improved print visibility
Uses a proven, easy-to-maintain extruder with high torque capability (handles demanding materials with ease)
Cost-efficient build using widely available components
Smooth, low-force filament cutter for consistent and clean cuts
Modular design for easy service and upgrades
It took me almost 8 months to finally release this project after it was completed — I wanted to make sure everything is properly documented for you.
Before you start building, head over to the Files tab and scroll all the way down to “Other files” — you’ll find a full step-by-step PDF manual there.
👉 Trust me — read the manual first.
It will make the whole build process much smoother.
The manual includes both the full BOM and a complete list of required tools.

The .3MF file also includes my printer and filament settings.
Please note that these are manually calibrated for my specific setup and may not be suitable for yours.
👉 Make sure to calibrate your printer and filament, and use your own presets before printing.
📦 FYSETC H42 Support Added
Files for the FYSETC H42 toolboard version are now included.
Since FYSETC will also offer kits for this toolhead using their H42 board (EBB42-compatible with extra ports and improved integration), I’ve added the required support parts in a separate folder:
