Jan 2020: It may be worth checking out my latest design - Hydra Fan Duct & Tool Change System which IMHO is far better in a lot of ways than this Hero Me remix. Link: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4062242

Update:23\11\19

Uploaded Direct Drive Bracket V2 which includes a revision to the mounting frame to allow the stepper motor to be introduced to the assembly at an angle to feed the drive gear more easily into the BMG housing.

This a variation on my DIY Direct Drive Assembly to fit a BMG Extruder or similar clone.

I have printed and tested this thing on a CR10S and it seems to work fine. I have left the status has WIP because I may come back to this in the future. This is a bit of a quick project so I have not yet had chance to provide an in depth installation guide. The basic assembly is similar to the previous DIY Direct Drive and Hero Me Remix assemblies. I have also uploaded some images during assembly to indicate the general fixing bolt positions and sizes.

Due to what appears a quite large variation in tolerance in the various BMG Clone Extruders this thing may vary in ease of assembly. Currently, due to the collar around the Direct Drive Bracket it is not all that easy to insert the Motor gear at a 30 degree angle. Therefore if you really have to force the motor assembly into the extruder this thing may be a little difficult to assemble. I have 3 BMG clones and they are all different in tolerance. The one I used slides together very easily. I may look at reducing the bracket collar to a single plate in the future.

This thing only contains the Direct Drive Bracket and the duct base. You will need to use a preferred set of ducts from one of my previously related things.... Links:

I printed these parts in Prima Select Light Blue PETG with 3 perimeters, 40 infill on an Ender 3 Pro & Ender 5.

Neither parts require support.
