Re-designed back plate for the Unitree Go2 allowing the seamless integration of the Nvidia Jetson Thor compute module as a backpack. There are many great models out there allowing to mount the Jetson Thor on the Go2, but none of them try to give the assembly a "native" look..
This project is intended to provide a base idea of how the Unitree Go2 could look like if it would have been designed with the Thor in mind. Please note that this model is still largely untested so feel free to test and improve.
I will keep this post updated as soon as i have the time to print, test and eventually improve the model.
ASSEMBLY NOTES: Designed with M3 screws in mind, mounting holes are prepared for M3 inserts with 10mm length/depth. Use an RJ45 flat edge cable as there is very little space below the bottom plate of the mount and the RJ45 socket of the Go2 (i tried to optimize for compactness).
Also still need to check whether the power port on the Go2 connector can theoretically provide the power needed for the Thor (130W range), or it is required to take it from somewhere else. This is in progress.
This design is also made with the goal to completely replace the two small loud cooling fans near the Go2 mainboard with the large fan of the Thor, which theoretically should create enough suction to keep air passing by the radiator of the mainboard - currently untested whether this is sufficient or not.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
