I love the idea and decided to make one, but the eyes were a bit off for me and they didn't cover the wear and mild damage that happened when I removed the previous eyes.
So I reshaped them and made the eyes bigger. Thanks guys for including the files.
Additionally, I made the slots on the side smaller and recessed making them less evident yet you can still fit a needle and thread through.
I printed the eyes in white PLA case in black PLA. At the time, to hide the print lines I used a circular pattern for the top layer as much so I used a circular fill. This was awhile ago so you can see the gaps, this doesn't happen anymore with the updated settings.
I glued the eyes using 3d gloop PLA, but other glues such as CA glue (Krazy Glue) can be used.
Assembly Tip: I placed the lipo battery in between the lining of the hat and ran the wires though the front behind the eyes. In doing so, I was able to place a larger battery. Never have a lipo battery in direct contact with you.
The animation lasted the whole day. I changed a bit of the code for the eyes and encourage others to do so as well.
you only need supports for the slots on the side.
