This is a present that I made for my brother-in-law, who is a huge Over the Garden Wall fan. He picked 4 images that he liked from the show, and I was able to adjust them to fit inside of a lantern, replacing the glass panes. Tissue paper was glued to the back of the prints, making the light from inside the lantern give relief from behind the images, providing a soft glow and gentle decoration.
While the STL files for this project are specific to the lantern that I used (shown above), they can be easily adjusted in Fusion 360 or similar software to fit any rectangular frame, though one should be careful to avoid altering the ratios too severely or else risk distorting the image.
(Note: I did NOT make the artwork used in this project. All credit for those go to the original artists.)
