This is a remix of @2vid's VX4 Pro remote case, intended to be printed out of rigid material (PETG, ASA, ABS, PLA etc.). There are two halves and are joined using (3) screws. The screws I designed it for are from McMaster-Carr and are part number 96817A323, M3x12 Thread-forming screws for plastic, T10 Torx drive.

I tried printing this with the flat side of the case (the outside part) on the bed, but I was not having great results on the large fillet and most prints ended up pretty ugly. I had best results printing it with the outermost face facing upwards, and using full supports on the underside (everywhere except the (3) screw holes on the bottom half of the case). Uses more material, but gave a way nicer outside finish. For best results I used an opposing filament for my interface layer (PETG/PLA) with 0 Z distance between model and support, and it gave an excellent support surface finish.

STEP files are included here in case you want to make any changes yourself. Enjoy the ABL case!

EDIT 4/4/26:  I added an additional version of this case that allows for the use of M3 heat-set threaded inserts so you can use typical M3x12 socket head screws. Both versions work great. You can use any brass insert that uses a 4mm ID hole, mine in particular were 5.7mm in length.

EDIT 4/22/26:  I have added a file for the NON-PRO version of the VX4 with two lower buttons and no horn button.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

I used the native Fusion file and reworked it into a two-piece hardshell design with added finger grooves, requiring (3) screws to close.
