A headless bass guitar inspired by the Hexcore from Arcane.

Designed for a 4 string, with a roller bridge travel saddle.

Main Design Points:

  • 2 soapbar humbucker pickups, 3 potentiometers

  • spine reinforced by carbon fiber rods

  • The insides of the side pieces use gradient filament for the colour

  • Side pieces are designed for minimal multicolour wastage; the walls attach via dovetails, so there are minimal filament swaps needed

  • My own rune design for decoration

For Printing/Modifying

  • The supports for the side pieces can be removed using needle-nose pliers and tweezers

  • You can add an interface layer for the supports; use PETG if printing PLA etc

  • Try to print the side pieces bodies on one plate; it gives a better colour transition when using gradient filament

  • STEP files for the core are included, so that you can modify it for your own bridge/neck/pickups

  • This should also be usable with a standard bass neck; make sure to check your scale length first

Check the included PDF for assembly instructions!

Filaments I used for my build:

  • CC3D PETG-CF Black

  • Jayo Matte PLA Black

  • Sunlu Dual Silk Blue-Black

  • Creality Rainbow PLA Spring Lake

  • Bambu Matte PLA Dark Red

I also did an epoxy resin coat, which I then sanded with 180 grit, 2500 grit, and used a matte finishing spray.

All hardware was from Aliexpress/Taobao
