I made a housing for removing fumes. In this housing I created 4 ‘feet’ which are bolted to the floor of the housing so the laser frame does not move (nice for absolute coordinates)
Also I added raisers to put between the frame and the feet when engraving higher objects
End stops were missing on this very nice but basic laser engraver. I used SN04-N inductive sensors. 3 wires, 4mm detection distance, NPN, NO. To put them on the laser frame I made some mounts
Switch box next to the driver box on the laser. The X-axis motor and the motor for the Sculpfun roller can be connected in this box. A switch on the top can be used to select one of both motors. Used switch is a 4x on-on switch, something like https://www.reichelt.nl/nl/nl/tuimelschakelaar-6a-125-vac-4x-aan-aan-ms-500p-p13172.html?&nbc=1&trstct=lsbght_sldr::13173 . A wire with connector goes from the Y-axis ‘port’ on the controller to the middle row of pins on the switch. Both outer rows of pins on the connector go each to a 4-pin connector which both are soldered onto a 2.54 grid ‘PCB’. This small PCB can be inserted into the housing.
