Otto-Sea is a floating trimaran-style remix of the Otto robot.
The robot is integrated into a printed central hull, supported by two outriggers made from standard PET bottles attached with rubber bands. The design replaces the original wheels with paddle wheels, allowing movement on water.
The hull features porthole-inspired details and carries the name “Otto-Sea”, representing a small experimental research vessel. Front and rear compartments allow the addition of ballast weights to adjust trim and stability. Protective guards help reduce water exposure on the drivetrain.
Otto-Sea is designed as a simple platform to explore basic physical concepts such as buoyancy, displacement, ballast, and propulsion on water.
