This box is part of the "System 58" collection of boxes. It can house up to 12 (3×4) basic inserts or a variety of non-basic inserts. It can also be used standalone as a moderately sized storage box.
On the outside it takes 238×187mm, 33mm high; the inside usable space is 232×174mm, 31mm high.

The box can be printed with minimal supports in any material you like. PLA will usually suffice, unless you need it to be more heat resistant.
Prusa MK4S w/ PLA: use the enclosed GCode.
Other Prusa printers: the enclosed 3mf PrusaSlicer project already contains the correct settings. Use it as a starting point and select your own printer and material.
Print the box upright as it is, no supports needed.
Print the lid 180 degree upturned, only the protrusion for the hinge at the front needs some support - activate supports "on build plate only" to avoid clogging the hinge openings in the back. The support for the protrusion is easy to remove with a cutter knife or pliers.
Print the hinge lying flat, no supports needed.
I chose GPL deliberately: I want this design to remain free. Feel free to print as many as you like, feel free to sell your prints. But, if you give prints away or sell them include a link back to here; if you change the design or add features - please publish your "sources", a'ka CAD files under the same license.
The included CAD files of this design were made with FreeCAD 1.0.2. I tried to label all features to make it easy to understand what was intended. Send me a message if you have questions.
