The blade is in 2 halves: "Blade_Left" and "Blade_Right"
I made a safety version of the blade for younger adults: "Blade_Left_Safety" and "Blade_Right_Safety"
On this one, I printed everything in PETG, except the blade I printed in Prusament PC Blend for strength.
If you print in PLA, I recommend printing the spring in PETG for flexibility.
The spring needs a skirt. Nothing needs supports.
I glued everything together with Gorilla Glue. It takes a lot longer to dry, but holds really well.
It might be a good idea to use some type of clamps to hold everything while drying.
First, glue the 2 blade halves and blade pin together.
Next, glue "Handle_Left_Outer", "Handle_Left_Inner", "Spring_Pins", and "Hinge_Pin" together first. (See 4th image)
You can also glue the spring at the same time if you want (like I did in the image) or wait till the previous step dries first. (Very important to glue the spring before the center plate since the center plate covers the spring!)
Next, glue "Center_Plate" to above. (5th image)
Make sure all glue is completely dry before continuing to the next step!!
Last step is to assemble the blade to the body (NO GLUE!!). Then apply glue ONLY to the center plate and glue it to "Handle_Right". Do NOT apply glue to the hinge pin. It doesn't need it and it will almost certainly get on the blade, so you won't be able to open and close it. Move the blade to the 'mid' position while drying (not fully open and not fully closed).
