This is a thumb bed leveler for the PRUSA Mk3

Based on this excellent article on how to achieve better leveling for your PRUSA MK3.
The article shows you a great way, in detail, on how to do leveling for your printer that the auto leveling function cannot achieve, but, it discusses ordering parts from Amazon...and I was like...why when I have a 3d printer?!!!

So instead of ordering nylon lock nuts or anything else..use these!
I printed them in ABS since it is near the heated bed.

Included:

  1. A 4.5mm thick thumb wheel, that does not require a nut; (The ABS will act like a nylon nut)
  2. A 4.5mm thick hex nut for the two places where a thumb wheel won't fit
  3. A .5mm thick tool to use to start your leveling process

Extras:

  • A thumb wheel that takes a hex 3mm nut; (if you want to use a nylon hex nut)
  • A thumb wheel for a square 3mm nut; (just because in case someone needs it)

Notes:

  • The spacers provided with the PRUSA printer is 5mm thick
  • The thumb wheel is 4.5mm thick and the tool is 0.5mm thick for a good starting point.
  • The 3mm screw will fit through the thumb wheel and nut holes. I suggest threading the 3mm screw through them all first before attaching them to the bed.

Print instructions

I made mine using ABS since it is very close to the heated bed.
Otherwise, it is a simple and fast print even at 50% fill.
