Original Ultimate Nozzle Brush

3D Printer owners know that from time to time a print goes bad and filament attaches itself to the nozzle.

This really is a great accessory.
Unfortunately, my felt pads are not well suited to cleaning the nozzle.
Next time I have to buy different ones. (edited)

Printed in PC-CF.

Simple but useful.

I use this tool every day for years now... and my nozzle is shiny like the first day. (edited)

Nice ! Works with a strip of an old towel too.

just roll the stripp on both sides. It is tight and won't fall out

Printed very nicely in Prusament PETG. Now I'm waiting for the felt pads to arrive (and see whether they are wool or synthetic!).

I know that you have an improved model, but I need just a brush, that's why I printed this one.

It's a handy to be sure, but I'm not exactly in love with the design. I use it and it does the job just fine, but I'd change several things if it was worth printing a second time. The hollow backside, that then requires printing with support, was one of the chief annoyances (due to having to remove all the support material.)

As a side note, you have to be careful which pads you buy as some are made of synthetic material, and are not wool felt, so they can melt if you're rubbing hard on a really hot nozzle. (edited)

@GHopper_181362 You're printing it upside down. The large channel prints facing up, the smaller one for the pads prints facing down. No supports required your printer will bridge the area without supports. You should print is in the same orientation as your picture without the pads inserted. You're correct some pads are made from synthetic fibers and dont work as well. The cloth fiber ones work great. They are also designed to be replaceable so don't expect a set of pads to last a year. A month at best with regular 3D Printing.

One of my favorite tools, and criminally underrated. Everyone needs this, especially if you're using a sticky filament like PETG. Cleans the nozzle *beautifully*. Printed in Red Overture PETG, which I use for all of my tools. Thanks for the model!

@IvyMike thanks so much for the kind words! You might give the new one a try. It takes care of things like deburring prints and scuffing the print bed. https://www.printables.com/model/446837-maker-multitool-the-ultimate-3d-printing-nozzle-br
