The Crew Mission Deep Sea insert and organizer

This is my second insert, I'm pretty pleased with the results. The version uploaded is slightly improved from the pictures, with larger, finger-sized openings for the com-tokens and also being slightly shorter to make more room for the manual and logbook.

Pictured above is my set sleeved with Mayday games Premiums, so there's plenty of room for sleeves. It also fits a large replacement captain's token.

I could not abide that massive cardboard captain token since it doesn't fit in the box once assembled. After scouring Thingiverse for a suitable replacement, I settled on this little diving helmet. The model I have provided here is scaled up enough to fit the insert with lots of wiggle room.

I have uploaded the .scad file I used to make this, but it does not include the "The Crew" text as it was extracted from the PDF manual and is not mine to upload.

Updated 2022/10/02 - I have addressed a few concerns I've heard and had myself. Chief among them, the tokens fit a little too snugly for some, so I've increased the sizes of the cutouts to give even more wiggle room. My copy is the US Kosmos first edition, other printing sizes may vary. Also, I added a dual-color logo variant for the adventurous.

Print Settings

Printed on my Prusa i3 MK3S+ in Proto-pasta HTPLA Glitter Flake Winter Blue.

I have provided the STL files but recommend the 3MF files as I have pre-painted the supports for the captain's token. I also printed my insert with a 10mm brim, snipped off the corners and folded the sides up. This keeps it snug in the box while also making it easier to print!
