I needed stand for quite heavy microphone (PC microphone by Tracer with fancy “cage” suspension). It has 6mm wide tab with a hole that accommodates M5 screw - so it was chosen as stand's “interface”. FreeCAD project file is included so if you need another interface, feel free to modify it (or just let me know, with exact dimensions I may try to modify it for you).
Why an “adapter” is a separate part? Because I wanted it to be as durable as possible. When printed directly on top of a base, most forces would work to break it along layers. So it is printed as separate part and can be rotated on bed to support its strength.
Hardware needed:
- 4 sets: cylindrical head screw M3x12 + square nut (for adapter mounting)
- 2 x M5x20mm or 2 x M5x30mm hex screws (for “knob” or “alternate knob” correspondingly)
- 2 x M5 hex nut
I've used PETG, 0.6mm nozzle, supports only needed for knobs (but placing them upside-down should eliminate this need - but watch the adhesion).
