Ever needed to tap a thread but couldn't find a small enough tap wrench? This simple emergency adapter solves that problem. Designed to hold M3 and M4 tap heads and fit any wrench that accepts a minimum 6mm square drive, these adapters turn your standard tools into precision threading tools.

The Story:
I had a full set of taps but nothing small enough to hold them properly. Rather than buying specialized tools, I designed these adapters in minutes and printed them immediately. They worked perfectly for light threading jobs—calibrating threads in metal or cutting threads in plastic.

What It Does:

• Converts standard tap heads to fit larger wrenches

• Holds M3 and M4 taps securely

• Fits any tool accepting a 6mm minimal square drive

⚠ IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS ⚠

For Light Use Only:
These adapters are designed for very low torque applications:

• ✅ Calibrating existing threads in metal

• ✅ Cutting threads in plastic

• ❌ NOT for cutting new threads in hard metals

• ❌ NOT for high-torque applications

The plastic construction simply isn't strong enough for serious metal threading. For heavy work, invest in proper metal tap wrenches.

• Material: PETG recommended for better layer adhesion. ABS/ASA works. PLA is acceptable

• Supports: No

• Brim: Not necessary
