Discontinued - I'm using https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3647221 now.
[edit] The x-carriage works quite well - I've been printing with it for several months now. I didn't really mount anything to it though. However, the holes are quite useful to fix the cables using zipties.
There is a lot of wasted space on the back of the X-Carriage - so I decided to remix the original X-Carriage to support mounting stuff on the top - e.g. a universal back-mount which is also provided here. Basically there are 2x5 3mm holes 10mm apart on the top of the carriage with small holes to hold the nuts.
I also increased the size for the sliding bearings a bit, as they were a bit too small.
I will extend the files by a fan-mount for a big blower fan on the back.
[edit] -> this idea didn't really work -> won't do
Furthermore, I will also add an adjustable x-stop to be mounted on top of the x-carriage.
[edit] -> this does not make much sense since the x-stop-mount can easily be moved -> won't do
Unfortunately my print of the carriage didn't stick to the build plate on one corner.
Will post better pictures once everything is finished.
