If you have ever mounted a bowden extruder directly to a 2020 aluminium profile you most likely know what resonance is :-)
To avoid the annoying noise caused by resonance I created this mount which allows you do decouple your nema-17 stepper motor from the aluminium frame it is mounted to.
After printing the parts simply glue some rubber-bands around the nubs of the clamp.
There is around 2mm of space for rubber.
Check if it still fits into the mount before actually gluing the rubber to the clamp.
You will need a 3mm screw and nut for the clamp and two 5mm screws and T-Nuts for attaching the mount to a 2020 aluminium profile.
Edit 2020-12-24: added a slightly stronger clamp as the original one broke.
Note: the stronger clamp requires a longer M3 screw.
Supports:
Yes
Notes:
You need supports for the mount.
No supports are needed for the clamp. Category: 3D Printer PartsThe author marked this model as their own original creation. Imported from Thingiverse.
