Update: 4/07/2026
Alert! PRO Version 2 Incoming: For anyone looking to build the PRO, please wait, I have Version 2 in coming, its fully complete, and much better than the first version, the case is now unified and supports FLX/FSP/LOP/Server PSU's, the case is also now optimised for printing with 0.6mm nozzle, improved Faceplate system, support for a 5" TURZX Stats Display and many more cool features.
Update: 10/06/2026
Due to Discord being closed off to non registered users, and being a massive time sponge (which I have very little of) I have now created a discussion forum on my github repo -> https://github.com/NexGen-3D-Printing/SteamMachine/discussions
This is where I would prefer questions and answers to be posted as it will be easier for people to search and find information in the future, I will be slowly creating build guides for these DIY Steam Machines and post videos from myself and from others in the community.
I'm proud to present the DIY Steam Machine Pro, based on the BC-250:
Finally I've managed to find the time to get this one done and uploaded, this one has been a monumental task, I've sunk way to much money into this project, and without the help and support of the community with donations, I would not have been able to purchase some of the additional hardware I needed to test everything, so a big thanks to those that have donated, and special thanks to the guys offering my DIY Steam Machine through their Etsy Store's.
Liquid cooled
Near silent operation
High performance
Overclockable

Enhanced total system cooling
Removeable and Customizable Front Face Plate (blank step file provided)

4 Port USB 3.0 Hub Support
Corsair Commander Duo RGB/Fan controller and multi thermal sensor controller support
Enhanced GPU VRM cooling support
Simple and durable design
And did I mention Rad stylings :)
Please note, this is the initial release, I've tried to cover as much as I can, I will continue to update and populate the project, when I have time I will upload some videos, and I'm working with Old Lamer to get a build and setup video done, but this will be a few weeks away yet, so please be patient.
Update: 1/04/2026
After have about 5 minutes rest from making the REDUX case, I have now come back to finish off a few request, first of these is the server PSU version, there is limited space, so cant use a breakout board unless you ditch the fan hub, and you will need to most likely cut/break away the hub mounting tab, but it is doable, the PSU slides in from the rear, and has a custom mounting plate
For the hex panels on this version, use all the same ones as the FLX version.

I have not and will not be printing this, as I don't own this type of PSU, I have done my best to make sure everything will fit, so I will need feedback if you decide to make it.
Before purchasing the AIO Cooler, please send me a link of the one you about to buy, specially the Thermalright, they seem to have about 50 different models called the Aqua Elite, its mental, but the original, V1 and V2 are okay, but I think in some regions like the US they replaced the V2 with V4, so please just drop me a message before you buy so I can confirm its the correct one.
When dropping the model into the slicer and you see this message, please select "NO"

Update: 4/03/2026
Add some additional face plate options:

There is two versions of this case now, we have one version to support the Meanwell LOP-400/500/600-12 power supply's and another version to suit standard FLX power supplies.
Both versions of these case have removable faceplates.

Front Case - FLX
Rear Case - FLX
Top Hex Panel - FLX (For Front Switch Mounting)

Front Case - LOP
Rear Case - LOP
Power Supply Mount

Top/Bottom Hex Panel (2 of these required for the LOP version, only one required for the FLX version)
Left and Right Side Hex Panels
TPU Feet (Recommend 5 or 6 of these, if you cant print TPU, then just print from PETG)
ARGB LED Strip Mount
Logo and Blank versions
Blank Step Files
Thermalright Aqua Elite ARGB V1 and V2 (USA is V1 and V4) (Only the Thermalright cooler will fit in the FLX version)
MSI MAG A15
Generic Mount
Q: Can I print this on my "X" size printer
A: Currently this can only be printed on a 300x300mm build plate, when I have the time, I will be creating split covers, this will allow you to print on a 270x270 build plate, but smaller is not possible, trust me I tried, I really wanted to support a 256x256 build area, but I had to make far to many compromises on the design.
Q: Does it support my "X" power supply
A: Currently only supports a standard FLX or the LOP-400-12, LOP-500-12 and LOP-600-12 from Meanwell, support for select server FLX style PSU units will be coming in the future
Q: Can you add "X" fan/s to the case
A: No, I have carefully crafted the thermal cooling path, no additional fans are needed, you can however install better fans on the radiator, I run the Arctic P12 Pro's as they are far better than the stock fans that come with the AIO kits.
Q: Can I slap "X" heatsinks on the ram
A: No, this is not required, the ram backplate is actively cooled, totally not required.
Q: I don't want an LED strip at the front
A: I will be uploading face plates without this very cool awesome gaming feature :)
Q: Will my random "X" AIO cooler fit
A: Maybe, please engage me in the comments, and I will take a look and see, I also recommend maybe printing a mount out of PLA and doing a test fit, but please feel free to check with me, as there is many pump blocks that will fit, I'm working on a list, but it will be a few weeks before I can start confirming.
Q: What do you recommend I print "X" from
A: The case I recommend PETG-CF, the panels I recommend PETG, PETG-GF, PETG-CF, the feet best done in TPU, the led strip light can be done on PETG clear or PETG white, the AIO Mount I recommend ABS, or ABS-CF/GF, probably best to avoid PETG as its too flexi and it may have issues with heat.
Disclaimer: "X" does not stand for that rubbish social website thing, it stands for insert some random whatever here :)
Please be patient while we update our listings.
