I designed this because i have a few blades but no fitting saw for them. Works not as nice as a metal one, but its still working very well.

Designed to use 25mm blades with 300mm hole spacing (1-2mm thickness). Others might also work but never tried it.

You will need a300x300 printbed (I used 284x295) for the bow.

All Parts are designed to be printable without support. But therefore you printer needs to be capable of good bridging if it shall look nice. Otherwise some support for the middle part of the bow might help.

PRINTING:

Grip:

  • 0,4-0,6mm nozzle
  • Layer height 0.3 (may be lowered to 0,2 in the thread section for more detail)
  • PLA, PETG, ABS… will all work
  • No supports

Tensioner:

  • 0,4-0,6mm nozzle
  • Layer height 0.2
  • PETG, ABS or other materials that resist some temperature since the blade might get hot
  • Some supports in the blade slot might help with the bridges

Bow:

  • 0,4-0,8mm nozzle
  • Layer height 0.2-0.3
  • PETG, ABS or other materials that resist some temperature since the blade might get hot (I used petg-cf just as a test. ABS in a second test also worked)
  • Some supports in the middle slot might help if the bridges get too long
