I started this only wanting a tighter center of gravity on my sprite extruder pro toolhead than before but created something modular that I could utilize elsewhere.

The face is held on by four m3 screws that screw into the sprite extruder pro itself. It also takes m3 sized heat-sets, one on the face to retain the fan, as well as three on the plotter to aid in precise setting and locking of the carriage for the pens at your needed Z offset. There is as well space accommodated for m3 heat-sets to retain the different components to the face's dovetail, if necessary, but I found them unnecessary due to a snug fit that holds via friction well enough.

Printed with 5 walls, 5 tops and 5 bottoms, with 10% infill, the ductwork and face with fan spacer come out to just under 28g of PETG, with the plotter face and carriage just under 27g by themselves in PETG.

The ductwork in testing with a bowl of water, flows beautifully underneath the nozzle rather than directly onto it allowing for a significant dip in the water that was underneath the nozzle tip. the ductwork currently only supports a single 5015. The bonus is with the fan facing the motor, it draws warmer air from the face as well as cold air in from the gap around it, and by default providing active cooling to the extruder stepper motor when the fan is running.

The plotter holes are sized specifically for fine and ultra fine tip sharpies.

Updated 3/9/26 (MM/DD/YY) - dual 5015 duct mount added.

Updated 3/11/26 - MK8 length single 5015 duct mount added.

This is the mounting bracket and heatsink cooling fan setup that is on my sprite extruder pro. I built my project to accommodate this upgrade as well.
