Daggerheart Rhombic Dodecahedron D12 Mold

A 3D printed positive to make a silicone rhombic d12 negative for resin casting.

The print comes in 3 parts. Parts 1 and 2 make up the bottom part of the negative, and part 3 works by itself. In order to connect parts 1 and 2, you will need an M4 nut imbedded in part 2 (the die shaped part). After printing, this allows an M4x12 bolt to hold parts 1 and 2 together during casting, and easier release when de-molding. You can also merge parts 1 and 2 for casting, but 1. that will require you to break the mold when de-molding and 2. that means you can't sand part 2.

For the best mold, I printed the die part at the highest resolution settings with a .2 mm nozzle, and then sanded up to 1500 grit. I cast two molds, one pre sanding and one post sanding, and even with zero post processing, the post sanding die looks much better. 

FYI, I don't have any sort of vacuum chamber and I'm very new to resin and silicone casting, so someone with more experience will get even better than my mediocre results.

I've included pictures of 3 dice I've cast so far, one without any sanding of the 3D print and no post processing, one with sanding the 3D print but no post processing, and one which I sanded after casting up to 3000 grit, but no polishing compound.
