Scale Mail PLA Forming Jig

V2: updated to use single set of alignment pegs and reduce print time

PRINT INSTRUCTIONS

Material:  PETG for forms, PLA for scales, dealers choice for plates

• print 4 of each forms

• forms attach to plates with dove tail connections

  • I will add other forms in V2

• after scales are removed from bed heat them on the printers bed at a high temp (+80C) to soften PLA

  • remove from bed first

  • heat inside folded paper to prevent sticking

  • soften for 5-10 mins 

• quickly remove from bed and press in form

  • align scales with pegs on forms

  • plates align together with pegs and holes

  • hold closed with clamps to cool (or just press hard and wait PLA cools fast)
