Disclaimer

The LRS-350 Model has been downloaded and used directly from the manufacturer website. The aluminium profiles are used from an unknown Crealiy Ender 3 v2 CAD model.

I only designed the enclosure itself and the AC plug.

Additionally, working with mains voltage is dangerous. You should only do this if you know what you are doing or get some help from sombody who does. I am not responsible for any damage.

Idea

I wanted to make the PSU vertical for the my printer, as I wante more clearance in the bottom for a new PSU fan and other electronics parts like a buck converter. As every other design requires another type of AC plug,

What you need

Some screws and nuts are required.

  • 2 M4x20 screws for holding the PSU in the holes in the aluminium profile on the right side.
  • 2 M4x5 or longer to hold the AC Plug in place.
  • 2 M3x15 screws for holding the top onto the enclosure part.

*(optional) 2 screws and t-nuts to secure the enclosure better on the profiles.

Printing

Make sure you slicer flow is calibrated. Additionally, a 0.6mm nozzle will heavily reduce the printing times, as the walls have a thickness of 2.4mm for strength. The first versions had a thinner wall but caused some issues with strength during the assembly.

How to assemble

  1. Screw the AC Plug onto the enclosure part.
  2. Put the encsloure part onto the printer and screw it in place, if you want. But it should already be a thight fit. iIf you have issues with the fit, use some sand paper.
  3. Manage the cabeling. I used https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4821226 for holding the PSU switch in the front and https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5022603 to get the cables securly from the back to the front. (see in the remix tab)
