Celestron Origin Filter Tray

Celestron have been holding the filter tray for the Origin very close to the chest, so I designed one to 3D print. Each of my filters now have their own dedicated tray. 

 V2 is like the original tray and requires print supports. V3 has the lower surface extended downward and does not require any supports (recommended print version). Both versions are not a really a true screw in as the thread is too fine to reproduce properly on the printer - they are more of a screw/press-fit and are secure when assembled. Both versions include indents in the body for small disk magnets (3 x 1 mm) if desired, but the designs have a snug fit and magnets are not required. V3 is more snug, but fits fine - careful alignment and a gentle wriggle will get it seated. 

 The print is compatible with PLA.

 A round case is also available to hold an assembled tray and filter, and includes text inlayed on the lid to identify the filter type.
