Clip-on Box for Crib

This is a small box that clips onto the outside of my child's crib so they can have a convenient place to store pacis when not in use.

By attaching it to the outside and making it about half the height of the crib mattress, I'm comfortable that it won't be a sleeping hazard. For the sake of completeness, please use only with adult supervision.

They picked up on it very quickly and now enjoy accessing the box from in or out of the crib. I printed mine in glow-in-the-dark filament which I thought was quite practical for nap time.

I designed the model in OpenSCAD using Brett's hexagon pattern for the bottom which makes great drainage holes. I also used the smooth_prim and polyround libraries.

This particular model is designed for cribs with rails about 45 mm wide. I've left some comments in the OpenSCAD file, so if you want to build on this or adjust it, go for it! If you aren't comfortable with OpenSCAD you can also message me and I can quickly generate a new one for you with custom dimensions.
