Hello!
This is a grommet that holds the rod, that holds up your hood, on many (if not all) Hondas.
(Confirmed for 1998 Accord, and 2008 Fit)

When I bought my first car used, the plastic grommet that came with it from the factory was already broken. I finally got tired of having to mess with the rod to make sure it wouldn't slip out of the hole, that I decided to just make a new grommet out of flexible filament.

A replacement grommet would've been about 8 bucks, and a few days Amazon shipping.. Or a 10-minute design, then 20 minute print.

Bring a flat-head screw driver to help push the grommet into the hole on the car's frame. Depending on the hardness of the filament you use, you might be able to push it in with just your palm.
