Ethernet (cat5) Breakout Box

Need to run eight light-gauge wires somewhere? Have spare 4x6cm prototyping boards and surface-mount screw connectors lying around? Here is a solution for you!

I designed this to run thermistor, fans, and sensors lines to my hot end. Combine with stranded ethernet cable and you have a compact and flexible replacement for the mesh of disparate wires.

You'll need:

Then, of course some ethernet cable, solder, etc.

Of course you could also just buy one of these for a few bucks but what's the fun in that?!

The ethernet jacks are a snug fit. Make sure you wire and test them before inserting them into the caps.

Notes:

High recommend printing the base on its back side (as opposed to bottom which seems more obvious). You'll deal with more supports but it will make the 'clips' on the base far stronger.
