I made a cover to Hold my Philips Hue (V2) remote and so I didn't have to remove the original cover in my apartment. Just print and use the existing screws to secure in place. The original Hue magnetic holder just slides in the top. There is a little play in the fit, so if you want to keep if from rattling, just stick some tape or cut small strips of adhesive foam. I printed with a Centauri Carbon in PETG and it came out pretty well. The tolerance should be adequate for any printer.
*** Be sure to print with supports, since the adapter is raised off the bed. Be cautious during support removal. Organic Supports worked well for me.
Depending on the thickness of the wall plate, it may or may not sit totally flush with the wall when mounted.
I got the idea from:
The author remixed this model.
Remade the original design, using the idea to place over existing switch. I wanted the option to slide the original Hue wall plate in and out easily to access the switch. Sized for the newer V2 Philips Hue plate and remote. Made in Fusion 360.
