This mount lets you easily attach your laptop to your wall. Additionally, you can tip the mount allowing for easy insertion. This model was specifically created for my Macbook Pro 2021 16" (with an Incase case), so I could more easily use a thunderbolt dock without taking up too much space.

I've chosen to place mine in portrait, but I see no reason you shouldn't be able to place your laptop in landscape position.

Which file to pick?

I've provided two different versions that each come in 5 different sizes.

The "smaller" versions are created with the 14" Macbook Pro 2021 in mind. They are a bit less wide and have their ports in mind (specifically the right-hand side of the laptop).

The "larger" versions are created with the 16" Macbook Pro 2021 in mind and are a tad bit wider than the smaller version.

The size of each file refers to the thickness of your computer.

Versions:

  • Larger 17mm.3mf
  • Larger 18mm.3mf
  • Larger 19mm.3mf (Macbook Pro 2021 16")
  • Larger 20mm.3mf
  • Larger 21mm.3mf (Macbook Pro 2021 16" with Incase Case)
  • Smaller 17mm.3mf
  • Smaller 18mm.3mf (Macbook Pro 2021 14")
  • Smaller 19mm.3mf
  • Smaller 20mm.3mf
  • Smaller 21mm.3mf

Installation and materials

  • M8 Rod cut to size
    • Cut it to 30mm + the length of your laptop (the side you want to mount it)
    • There are some lower bounds:
      • Smaller: min length 195mm
      • Larger: min length: 225mm
  • 2x M4 screws (preferably socket head) between 10mm to 20mm in length. These are used to ensure the mount cannot tip over too much with your laptop placed in it.
  • Screws to attach it to the wall
  • Stick-on floor protectors. Nice if you want to ensure your laptop isn't leaning directly against the wall. Something like the ones IKEA offers.

The lower bounds for the rods are necessary as you need about 5mm clearance when installing the brackets on the wall. This way, you can turn the mount downwards such that it's not in the way when screwing it into the wall.

The space between the two brackets should be 10mm + the length of your laptop. This allows 10mm of the M8 rod to go into each mounting bracket.

Print time

About 15.5 hours for the smaller versions and 16.5 hours for the larger ones.
