Thanks to the quarantine, I started and finished a project that was sitting on the bench for years... If it set for that long, it means it is not a necessity. And it is not! But it is cool and handy.
DRO was bought online, nothing special. I used M3 bolds and nuts to hold the DRO to the brackets, an M5 that was already there for the threads dial. And 2 more M5 for the other end, which I had to drill and tap. Be careful when drilling into cast iron, it is soft!

I used 10 walls to ensure enough strength around the screws. This way, the bracket will not colapse when torquing the screws down.
