Eat croutons while ratting in comfort. An adaptor that converts Opsmen Earmor headsets to use elastics instead of a headband, in a way that aesthetically and functionally resembles the GSSh-01 retention system. Makes it easier to wear your headset under a helmet. Confirmed to fit under MICH-2000 and SSh-68 style helmets.

Required materials:

Non-roll elastic, 1-in width

M3 or M4 screws and nuts, 4x each

small washers, 4x

Lighter

Instructions:

Remove the headband from the headset.

Wedge a screwdriver or knife between the shell and ear pads and twist to pop off ear pads.

Snip off the headband tabs on either side of each shell, and drill a 3mm or 4mm hole (depending on your screw size) where the tabs used to be.

Affix harnesses to the headset using screws, nuts and washers.

Cut three strips of elastic, and connect harnesses using elastic and tri-glides. be sure to seal elastic edges with lighter.

V2: Moved front elastic slots lower to make tension across head more uniform, this should improve the acoustic properties of the headset.
