Similar to my other scaners I like some additional protection for the lenses that don't obstruct the scanning capabilities so they can stay attached to the scanner. For this I just scanned the Sermoon P1 and did a quick model in Quicksurface based on the scan.

I added additional ridges to the sides of the lens protector to ensure the scanner can lay flat on the table without any wobble when using it, makes post processing more comfortable. To ensure protection while transporting the scanner I added a lens cover that can be slid over the lens protectors and ensures all cameras and emitters are protected.

PS: Scanner still fits in case with the lens protectors attached

Printing and Assembly

I just used my A1 Mini and some cheap Geetech TPU, 0,4mm nozzle works fine and a softer TPU may be preferable. After printing remove eventual stringing from the parts and use reversible double sided tape to attach the lens protectors securely to the scanner. I use tape that normally gets used in smartphone repair which sticks well to the TPU prints. Since the parts are symmetrical fitment shouldn't be an issue.

The cover is best printed from something sturdy like PETG or PLA.
