This is a replacement cone for a yarn winder for winding balls of yarn where you want a smaller hole through the center of the ball.
I show the cone as fitted to the existing base, the base alone, and the base with the stock cone. You can swiftly swap between the stock cone and the custom cone.
It has with knobs and holes in the fins to make easy to anchor the yarn at the start of the winding.
The specific yarn winder I'm using this with is a Stanwood Needlecraft - Large Metal Yarn Ball Winder 10 oz - Heavy Duty from www.stanwoodimports.com but I am not affiliated with them in any way.
This is the same winder as in https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1963818
I printed 6 prototypes, refining and correcting the design to get what you see here.

Post-Printing =============After printing, use a sharp craft knife to cut away the supports on the bottom of the two protruding yarn knobs.
Trim away any loose strands of filament on the inside that would interfere with this cone mating to the wider base.
