⚙ Design Notes

• DC130 motor is a finger press-fit (no glue required)

• Bearing pocket sized for a 6002 bearing

• Gearbox opening allows easy lubrication access

• Designed to be remixed — change gear ratios, add mounts, or modify outputs

• Optimized for FDM printing with common materials

I’ve found that spray silicone lubricant works best for smooth operation.

I’m currently working on V2, which will include:

• A pilot-bearing style support on the face of the input shaft

• Improved shaft alignment under load

• Reduced gear cantilever stress and smoother operation

• Layer height: 0.15–0.20 mm

Supports: Organic (where needed)

• Top contact Z distance: 0.30–0.35

• Interface layers: 1 (light)

• Branch density: ~15%

• Infill: 15–30% (depending on load)

• Material: PLA / PLA Tough / PETG

Hardware

• 3× #6 × 1/2″ screws
  (Feel free to remix and add your own mounting holes)
