This a super basic 4030 Desktop CNC Router Design for 65mm Spindles, eg a Makita Router or 1.5kW Air-cooled VFD unit.

I'm publishing this due to a request, however it doesnt fully match my current machine spec, and may be incomplete in multiple areas. The Z-Axis is a mockup of the unit I have with 100mm travel, dual linear rails and a 1204 ball screw.

This design is compatible with Nema 17 and 23 Stepper motors which can be mounted at either end, and can probably be used with X & Y ball screws with minor changes. It is intended that you use axial thrust bearings at either end of the X & Y axis lead screw, but the model doesn't currently show the lock collar

The X & Y axis use adjustable Delrin anti backlash nuts intended for a TR8*8-2P (4 starts) lead screw.

The Linear rails for X & Y are 450mm long and are MGN15H Series.

The Blue parts are intended to be 3D Printed in ASA - PETG and PLA are not suitable filaments.

I haven’t included end-stops in my design, because everyone has different preferences.

Many of the components in this design have their own models containing more detailed information:
