There are already many designs available but I wanted something dead simple for a dozen nozzles. My box fits nozzles with M6 thread and up to ~12mm total length. I opted for screw-in sockets to prevent that they turn ballistic when I accidentally drop the open box.
If the cover is to lose just heat up the center of the short sides of the cover and squeeze it a bit inwards. If it is a bit tight you can slightly enlarge the STL-file in X and direction.
The M6-test.stl is provided to dial in the printer! The correction factor for inner holes has to be set so that the Thread is large enough. The file cover-test.stl is a small frame identical to the real cover to test how well the cover fits. The overall dimensions can be corrected this way.
Print parameters:
0.2mm layer height
10% cubic infill
No support
Can be printed in any material but I used PLA
One of the projects where I can use up all the short left over filaments as color doesn't matter. But isn't it surprising how much you print just because you need it for the printer?
