Hello everyone, this is Xinghai StarK—long time no see!
I believe many of you may still remember this model.
This project dates back to February 2025 and was originally a discarded concept, internally codenamed “Super Gas Cylinder.” Its official framework name is
Gas-Tank–Style Frame, Simple Ultra-Articulated Xinghai Skeleton.
The design was created specifically to validate a miniaturized TPU skeletal structure. Once the structural verification was completed, the project had fulfilled its purpose and was subsequently set aside.
However, it was precisely this seemingly modest skeleton that later became the foundational basis for Aethelstar D2 (Tianheng Star), as well as the core structural reference for the still-unreleased SH-01 Mini.
Throughout my exploration of TPU-based, fully printable skeletal architectures, I invested a significant amount of time and effort—and those efforts ultimately paid off with results that fully met my expectations.
Today, I’ve decided to release this first-generation skeleton framework for free, allowing every enthusiast to use it as a foundation to create their own fully articulated 3D-printed models.
In the second half of the video, you’ll find the complete assembly process for this skeleton.
