This is a sort assistant for 9mm and .380 casings. Just drop a bunch in the funnel and shake it around. The casings will fall into the holes head stamp down allowing you visually see or physically feel the height difference between the two. Once all mixed cases are removed, pull out the slide to drop the remaining casings into a container of your choice.

There are four different funnels provided, print one based on your use case and printer/filament capabilities.

  • Funnel-Heat Set (No Helper Discs)

  • Funnel-Heat Set (Helper Discs)

  • Funnel-Screw (No Helper Discs)

  • Funnel-Screw (Helper Discs)

If your printer / filament is prone to warping then a funnel with helper discs is recommended.

If you plan to disassemble/reassemble the sorter frequently then a funnel with heat set inserts is recommended.

See the matrix below if you need help choosing the right funnel.

In both cases, you will need four M3x40 screws for assembly.

If you have never used heat set inserts before, then a heat set press could help set the inserts correctly - you can find one on Amazon for around USD$50.

The model is built to allow for additional caliber trays to be created (i.e. .357 and 38 special). Fusion 360 source is provided to so you can make your own caliber trays. Remixes are encouraged with linking and attribution.
