The internal 50mm fan does not do a great job when it comes to reduce odour.
I created a funnel so that the standard 50mm fan AND an external 80mm fan are connected + created a way to test a variety of filter materials and cartridges. The cartridge is a simple "slide on" design.
Every part needs support material but is printable on a standard single nozzle printer (Prusa,...)
You need:
4x M3 brass inserts for the thread or you adapt my design to install hex nuts
4x M3 Screws to mount the adapter plate, the fan and the mounting plate.
You just have to remove the internal (metal) filter cartridge, use the 2 screws to mount my funnel design (you can only mount 2 even if there are 4 holes).
The funnel needs to be installed from the bottom as it's to big for mounting it from the back.
Feel free to test your own filter material or design your own filter cartridge.
EDIT 2019-12-11:
1.) I added a funned to connect a 100 hose onto the printer instead of the filter cartridge
2.) tip: to remove the support material in the "slide on slots" use a sharp 2mm screwdriver: works like a charm!
