On my journey of turning perfect, new, pristine rolls of filament into completely useless landfill, I came up with this design. Although it didn't make me millions on Etsy, it did make a few of my friends football mad kids happy. What more is there to life eh? So I am sharing it so you too can make your friends think that you care!
Anyway, BEHOLD!...........A lightweight, customisable door/wall art decoration of a football shirt (Soccer for our American friends). No AMS/multicolour printer needed as all parts connect together with hidden dovetails. Almost any football (soccer) team can be created, unless they have vertical stripes on their kit. If this is the case, I have supplied the original Fusion 360 files for anyone interested to play with them. Also in the Fusion 360 files are bodies for a shirt number and shirt name so the shirt can be customised to a favourite player or a child's name.
The standard size here is over 30cm tall, 20cm wide, and 5cm deep. It looks pretty good on a door, and comes with spaces at the back for velcro wall attachment strips. On testing the velcro mounts kept the shirt on the door for one whole day, so if it falls off your door and kills a cat, I am not liable. It's your doors' fault.
I have not modelled any badges to avoid any legal issues as I once intended on selling these (lmao). I also have not added any "Sponser" logos. The shirt design was always meant to be an approximation of a teams' kit, not a replica.
I have only loaded up the stl files, not the print file because....lazy. If you really want the print files along with my settings then let me know....I will get around to it.
If there is demand for a shirt with vertical stripes aka Newcastle, then I will model one up and drop it here in the future, but we all know that nobody supports Newcastle..... (LMFAO........I am a Wolves fan!!)
Keep posted for more of my "3d Printing Business Idea Failures"........I might start a group for this!
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
