VW Beetle Split Window Open Doors

Update 05.03.2026: Front fender seal was missing in the previous version, and was corrected today.

Update 22.02.2026: Factory style working hinges are added. This required a ma jor revision of the body and dashboard. The engine cover edges have been rounded also. A visor has been created and available separately

A forum member downloaded the split window file and modified the printed body to have opening doors. This made me think why not make the life easier for those who wish to have working doors models. Now the entire body including doors, bonnet (trunk cover for rear engine vehicles), engine cover are ready. I tried to add hinges but it turned out to be a major headache. Sure hinges can be made, but it would take a lot of time to finish. In addition, many are interested in customizing, and will replace the standard hinges anyway with their special treatment. A Tamiya or Gunze kit, and the parts included in my other beetle file are needed to complete the model.
