FAME Smart Inline Valve Preview 1

Please note this is a club preview, the text that follows is intended for the final product and may not represent the current state of the project. The model is practically complete, however currently there is a short delay on the software.

FAME Smart Inline Valves are low cost, open, easy to maintain self-build smart valves for 100mm pipe, useful for directing airflow in pipes in your workshop or possibly small ventilation systems. It features:

• Simple initial setup via BLE

• App based control over wifi

• Optional Home Assistant integration via MQTT as a "cover" entity

• The ability to daisy-chain many valves from a single controller

The software has feature parity on all platforms, with simple and streamlined setup of your device.

Hardware

FAME Smart Inline valves has a fairly small hardware list compared to some of my other builds:

• A FAME Smart Servo Node to control the valve(s)

• Feetech ST3215 (good) or ST3250 (overkill) servo

• A longer cable for the servo/controller. I have purchased 90cm ones from Feetech.

• One 608 bearing

• 2x M2 heat set inserts

• 6x M3 heat set inserts

• 2x M2x6mm (or M2x8mm) screws and washers

• 2x M3x8mm screws and washers
