This is an emergency fix; this part does not supposed to replace correct original manufacturer's part.

Manufacturing instructions

  • Material: PC Blend

  • 3D Printer: Any FDM 3D printer capable printing PC Blend filament, 0.4mm nozzle or smaller

  • Slicer settings: 3 perimeters, supports from build plate

  • Post processing instructions: Remove supports, clean the parts from stringing if needed

Assembling instructions

  1. Remove all parts of the broken original gear

  2. Clean the rod with isopropyl alcohol to remove grease.

  3. Insert the gear - mind the orientation - the longer collar should face towards the knob. Insert until it rotates freely.

  4. Position the gear on the rod and use the glue to fix it - ensure the glue does not touch any other parts, especially the rod.

QC procedures

  1. Visual inspection:

    1. Ensure that the surface is smooth, especially parts which were supported by supports.

    2. Check all the teeth of the gear. Check for warping, separated layers and blobs in between the gears.

  2. Tolerance inspection:

    1. After installation the gear should rotate freely without obstruction or differences in force required to turn it.
