Filament & Hygrometer Cap for Chef's Path Cereal Container

This is a replacement cap for the Chef's Path Airtight 135.2 oz. Cereal Storage Container that will allow the addition of a Hygrometer and a PC4-M6 or PC4-M10  Pneumatic Fitting. to make a Filament Dry Box Container.

The hole for the fitting will need to be tapped with 6mm tap. I plan on making a threaded version in the future as well as one for a 10mm fitting.

The idea to use these containers was from a YouTube Video Cereal Container Boxes for Storing 3D Printer Filament! byWhere Nerdy Is Cool. I like the fact that by utilizing the pour hole I didn't have to drill any holes in the container and just need to swap out the cap. If I ever come up with another solution I can use the containers for their intended use.

I purchased everything from Amazon (affiliate links included above) except for the tap which I already owned.

When placing in the spool, be sure it is feeding from the bottom to it has a straight path to exit.

Changed 10MM Thread to use 1/8" BSP thread with some clearance. Thank you to @eibo68_1593649 for pointing out that the thread type was incorrect. I did not reprint the cap to test but did a test on a smaller sample which I also have included.

I now recommend using the filament Spool Holder from the Single Spool 4L Drybox  with the remixed larger roller as it is better fit and contains a container to hold desiccant. I just printed the Filament base, the Silica Lid and larger roller.

I added a threaded version for PC4-M6 Pneumatic Fitting.

Added a version with just a hole for the Hygrometer only in case you want to just store the filament in the container or use another solution that feeds the filament out through a hole drilled in the container like the Filamentbox-Master-2000 by XrConrol.

I placed a couple of Desiccant Packets at the bottom.

Added a threaded version for a 10mm PC4-M10 Pneumatic Fitting. The fit is a bit tight so a wrench will be needed to tighten.

Added a Filament Spool Skate to accommodate most 1 kg Rolls. It is remix of Spool Skate for Rubbermaid 21 Cup Drybox from the Prusa printers website.
