Sicilian Pine Cones: A Touch of Home

In Sicily, Italy, pine cones are very popular for home decoration. The real deal are the ceramic ones, which come in a variety of bright colors - yellow, red, white, blue, and more! Imagine them on the pillars of your villa's entrance, on a table in your garden, on your terrace among the flowers, or even in your living room. They look great anywhere and add a cheerful touch to the space.

I printed one myself using a two-color filament, and the effect is really amazing!

But the coolest thing is that these pine cones have a mathematical secret: they're made following the Fibonacci sequence, which creates the golden spiral, a really fascinating shape! Isn't that cool? I printed only one, but I did different shapes, in the pictures you can see the number 6, the preferred of my wife. Choose your preferred one!

Pigne siciliane: un tocco di casa

In Sicilia, le pigne sono molto popolari per le decorazioni domestiche. Quelle vere sono in ceramica, si trovano in una varietà di colori vivaci: giallo, rosso, bianco, blu e molti altri! Immaginatele sui pilastri dell'ingresso della vostra villa, su un tavolo in giardino, sulla terrazza tra i fiori o anche nel vostro soggiorno. Stanno benissimo ovunque e aggiungono un tocco allegro all'ambiente.

Ho disegnato differenti versioni e ne ho stampata una io stesso usando un filamento bicolore e l'effetto è davvero fantastico!

Ma la cosa più bella è che queste pigne hanno un segreto matematico: sono fatte seguendo la sequenza di Fibonacci, che crea la spirale aurea, una forma davvero affascinante! Non è fantastico?

Ne ho disegnate diverse, nelle immagini vedete la numero 6, la preferita di mia moglie :). Voi scegliete la vostra preferita!
