I like the original model for its functionality and easy printability, but I found that it has a weak spot at the base of the threads. The cap has been totally reliable for me, but I've reprinted the bag holder after 3 breaks, right where the threads meet the main body. (I've had the same results with PLA and PETG.)
My objective with this remix is to add some additional material in the throat to shore up this area and given it a bit more robustness. I've also tried reducing my fan speed slightly for a PLA print in hopes of getting better layer adhesion.
I just printed a version using this model, so I don't have any long-term results, but figured it was worth sharing nonetheless. Please don't judge the surface finish on my new part too harshly -- I haven't dialed in all the tuning on my new printer.
Still printable without supports, I used 3 walls and 20% gyroid infill for strength.
The author remixed this model.
The cap is identical to the original model, but I've increased the thickness (smaller internal diameter) in the throat behind the threads. Clearance is reduced from ~34mm to ~32.5mm.
