My Microserver Gen8 power supply unit has exploded and killed one of the memory channels. 8Gb of RAM was insufficient for VMs/LXCs in Proxmox installation, so I started to search alternatives. But I like Microserver Gen8 case a lot, so here is my new config:

  • CWWK AMD-8845HS 9-bay Mini-ITX motherboard

  • Kingston FURY Impact [KF556S40IBK2-64] 64 Gb

  • Noctua NH-L9i-17xx Chromax Black

  • Noctua NF-S12B redux-1200 PWM

  • ACD FL0400 FlexATX PSU + Noctua NF-A4x20 PWM

  • Sipeed NanoKVM Pro

  • SFF-8643 to SFF-8087 adapter

  • 2x Patriot P300 P300P128GM28

  • 4x SATA SSD + 4x SATA HDD

Printed in PETG with tree supports.

You will need 7x M3 5mm screws and 7x brass M3 5mm fused nuts (recommended, but not mandatory).

FCSTD included, so you can adapt model to any other Mini-ITX motherboard easily (see sketch in io-ports-pocket). Also, you may need to remove lan-ports-support-pad and lan-ports-support-fillet.
